I like to do homemade cookies because they are so easy to do but look like something simple from a bizarre bakery. They make the perfect gift if you want to hit anyone -without spending hours in the kitchen. Also, they are super versatile – you can customize them for any vacation or case. Think that the heart is sprinkled on Valentine’s Day, pastel colors for Easter or red and blue decoration for July 4.

Technically, this recipe is not quite baked, because I used the dough-baked cookies in the store, which you need to bake first. But if you capture a few baked sugar cookies, it becomes a completely recipe without baking. The best part? These little truffles should not be chilled as those made of cream cheese, so it is easier to store and serve.

Simple ingredients

  • Soft sugar cookies – Truffles basis; I used the cooled cookie dough and baked them at home.
  • Vanilla glaze – acts as a binder, holding cookies from the crumb.
  • Vanilla almond bark – creates a smooth, durable coating.
  • Festive parcels (optional) – Ideal for adding pop color and truffles for holidays and special occasions.

Create Truffles

  1. Bake the cookies – If you use chilled cookie dough, bake cookies according to the package instructions. Let them cool completely. If you use baked cookies in advance, you are willing to start.
  2. Scatter the cookies – Using your hands, scatter the sugar cookies into small crumbs and add them to a large bowl.
  3. Add the icing – Using the mounting of the spring on a mixer stand or an electric mixer, mix in vanilla, freezing while pressing the crumbs with sugar cookies. You may not need the full amount.
  4. Jumps in the balls – accumulate 1 tablespoon of the mixture with a small cookie scoop and roll it into smooth balls. Put them on a sheet of cookies laid on a piece of parchment paper.
  5. Freeze – Put the baking trays in the freezer at least 30 minutes to fasten the truffles
  6. Will melt the almond crust -In the microwave bowl, melt the vanilla curry at an interval of 30 seconds, stirring after each increment to a homogeneous mass.
  7. Lower the truffles – Using a fork or a tool for immersion, dip the balls with sugar cookies into the apartment curry, giving excess drainage. Put back on parchment paper.
A four -step process: the left on top shows the crumb of cookies and glaze in a bowl, the right right shows the mixed dough, the lower left exhibition with round baking balls on the baking sheet, and below the right shows the fork that sinks the ball into white chocolate.
  1. Decorate – While the coating is still wet, add pouring to fit your topic or case.
  2. Let the set – Allow the almond bark to be completely solidified before serving or packaging. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.

Variations and replacements

Bought to the store -If you lack time, use the sugar cookie bought in the store. Choose soft sugar cookies rather than a more solid-cut look for the perfect texture.

Homemade cookies – If you prefer home, bake a batch of your favorite soft sugar cookies. Allow them to cool completely before they move for the best texture and aroma.

Pre-unleashed cookies. You may not need to add a glaze, as pre-stabbed cookies are already enough to bind the mixture.

A cream cheese option – Change the glaze to cream cheese to create a little less sweet trim. Keep in mind that if you use cream cheese, you need to cool it to avoid spoilage.

Different coatings – Change the almond vanilla curry to white chocolate chips or candy melts in any color to fit your subject.

Additives – Mix the crushed candy, mini -cheeky chips or sprinkle the cookie dough for extra flavor and texture.

Tips for Success

  • Use soft sugar cookies -Whether this will be at home or bought in the store, soft cookies are best for creating a smooth, cohesive texture. Hard sugar cookies may not crumble so easily and also mix.
  • Don’t overdo the icing – Add the icing gradually until the mixture does not contain together. Too much glaze can make the truffles excessively soft and sticky.
  • Use the right size bowl – A Mixer stand with an example with spring works great for mixing the crumb of cookies and glaze without making porridge. If you are using your hand mixer, choose a large deep bowl to avoid the shot flight everywhere.
  • Freeze before covering – The freezing of twisted touches for 30 minutes helps them to gain a foothold, facilitating them to plunge without falling apart.
  • Will melt the almonds slowly – Melt the almond curry at short intervals (30 seconds) and mix between them to avoid overheating, which can cause the coating.
  • Use a fork or tool to dive – When dipping the truffles, use a fork or tool for better control and that the excess cover is purely digging.
  • Work in parties.
  • Decorate quickly – Add sprinkles or jewelry while the coating is still moist so they are firmly sticking to the truffles.
